Sample post:
I like to use L'Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Designer Eyebrow Pencil, Brunette. After researching the product I found it contains some ingredients that cause me concern. For example: The product uses Castor Oil for enhanced skin absorption with can lead to developmental or reproductive toxicity.
My favorite snack is the Kettle Brand Sea Salt and Vinegar Chips. According to EWG's food sources, the chips are non-GMO, Gluten free, and the ingredient concern is low. These findings are positive and my opinion has not changed.
ReplyDeleteEvery Saturday, my family and I clean the house and we always use Windex Advanced Glass and Multi Surface Cleaner. According to EWG, there is moderate concern that it causes asthma, some concern that it causes skin allergies, and there is moderate concern that it affects the environment. As someone who has eczema, I suspect that product is causing it, since I use it so often. My opinion of the product has been changed in e negative way.
I use It's A Ten Miracle Shampoo +Keratin. The website only has the 2014 formula, but it has raised some concerns for me and my family. Overall hazard is moderate and there is a low chance of cancer, and there is high concern for allergies and immunotoxicity. The cancer is what surprises me the most. What sort of chemicals are in shampoo that can possibly cause cancer. I will definitely be switching shampoos.
I love to use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser with Febreze, Citrus, & Light. That's my go-to tool to use to clean different surfaces. However, it is concerning that there is the same amount of risk of cancer and reproductive and development toxicity. This can hurt little kids if they are in proximity of the magic eraser and the affected area.
ReplyDeleteTo do our laundry, we use Bounce Dryer Sheets, Spring Fresh. According to EWG, it shows that this product has a very moderate concern on asthma and respiratory diseases. This is bad especially for my family because both me and my mother have bad cases of asthma and this might make it worse. We may need to switch brands in order to control our asthma.
We all love pasta so we use Ragu, Chunky Sauce, Tomato, Garlic & Onion as our pasta sauce. When I checked on EWG how it is, I am pleased to say it it not bad for people. In fact, it is a very good source for vitamin A. I am happy to report that there was a good product from the three I had researched.
In my house, Heinz Ketchup is an important food staple that we use very often, whether it's for cooking or simply just to use on chicken or any other dish that has been prepared for the day. Based on EWG's food scores, Heinz Ketchup has more negative factors than positive, including the high sodium content and lack of protein and fiber. It also has moderate processing concerns about the amount of artificial ingredients it contains. Although this ketchup is constantly restocked in my refrigerator, EWG has definitely open my eyes to some of the disadvantages of always using Heinz. Another item in my household that we use all the time is Crest Complete Whitening Plus Scope Toothpaste. According to EWG, this toothpaste has mostly low or moderate concerns based on some of the ingredients that can cause irritation to the skin, eyes, and lungs, but there are no signs of it causing cancer or allergies, which does not change my opinion of the product. I can still say that this product is worth using to achieving a brighter, healthier smile! Finally, when it comes to cleaning my mom uses Dawn Ultra Concentrated Dishwashing Liquid, original scent. By far this is one of the most concerning products out of the three. According to EWG, some of the major concerns are causes of asthma, allergies, cancer, and it is harmful for the environment. This is a bit of an upset considering I see commercials for this brand in which they are cleaning the animals, especially birds, who have been effected by oil spills. This has certainly brought it to my attention that this is unacceptable and should be addressed immediately and now I will consider finding and using a more safe product.
